Are you one of those persons spending a lot of time researching, learning, reviewing, and trying to make sure everything is perfect before starting your online business?
Well, if so, you are not alone. Many of us have been down that road. We have a tendency to be trying to get everything right, and want to know as much as possible before actually starting the business.
Each day, week, month – even years – instead of getting started, we keep finding other things to learn and to do. And then, the situation begins to get more complicated and insurmountable than first imagined. What can we do?
Information Overload
First, we need to stop trying to learn everything before we get off the mark. Information overload can be a killer of your dreams, leading to inaction, confusion, doubt, procrastination, and the fear that you will never be as successful as others.
For now, stop reading all those blogs. Forget about the YouTube gurus. Put social media on hold. If you keep reading, viewing and listening to what everybody says, you will always be second-guessing yourself, and seeing problems where you really don’t have any.
Perfection
Stop trying to achieve perfection. Cease focusing on too many things; jumping from one thought to another, like a grasshopper. Learn from others, but make sure you create your own path.
Get Set, Go!
The most critical point in all of this is that we don’t need to wait until we are really, really “ready” before starting our online business, and getting set to make money. Once you understand the basics, go ahead and start the business. Adjustments can always be made along the journey as you gain more experience.
